The production method of silicate cement production is the most representative in cement production industry. It uses limestone and clay as the main material, and after crushing, dispensing and finely powering to be raw materials, and then feeding these raw materials to cement kiln for calcining. Finally, the clinker is added moderate gypsum(sometimes mixed with mixed materials or additives) to finely grind together.
According to different methods of producing raw material, the method of cement production can be divided into dry process (including semi-dry) and the wet process (including half- wet). Dry process is now widely used in all over the world, since its high efficiency and low pollution.Main advantage of dry process production is low heat consumption( such as heat consumption of a dry process kiln clinker with pre-heater is just 3140 ~ 3768J/kg), its disadvantage is that raw material is nonuniform and causes the dust easily,at the same time, this process production’s consumption is higher. Compared with dry process,wet production has advantages as following:simple operation, easy to control raw material’s ingredient, good quality finished product, convenient transportation, little dust,.However, its disadvantage is high heat consumption(clinker heat consumption usually is about 5234 ~ 6490 J/kg).
