Application:
Rotary kiln is mainly used for metallurgy, building materials, ores and other mineral materials, heating and calcining. Such as ceramic sand, bauxite, limestone, cement, fly ash magnesium aluminum hydroxide, aluminum products, alumina refractory materials such as mineral particles and the heating and calcined powder.
Main classification of calcination kiln:
Calcination can be divided into tunnel kiln, rotary kiln, Vertical kiln etc. Rotary kiln has two types, one kind has preheater which save energy but need more cost, the other kind has no preheater. The mineral ore fed into the clinder from the higher end and the heats source from the lower end. At the discharge end the temperature is most high.
The original rotary cement kilns were called 'wet process' kilns. In their basic form they were relatively simple compared with modern developments. The raw meal was supplied at ambient temperature in the form of a slurry.
